The difference between the sum of 2 complementary angles is 16 degree. Find the measures of each angle with steps

let other angle be y
they are complementary angles
x + y = 90.........eq(i)
x - y = 16.....given eq(ii)
adding (i) and (ii)
   x + y = 90
+ x - y = 16
so, 2x = 106
      x = 53
from (i)
x + y = 180
53 + y = 180
y = 180 - 53 
y = 127
