______________________________

TO FIND :

=> THE NO.

______________________________

LET,

=> THE NO. BE :

=> 100X.

______________________________

25% OF THAT NO.

=> 25% OF 100X

=> 25 / 100 * 100X

=> 25X

______________________________

30 % OF THAT NO.

=> 30% OF 100X

=> 30 / 100 * 100X

=> 30X

______________________________

THE NO. IS INCREASED BY 25%

=> NO. + 25% OF THAT NO.

=> 100X + 25X

=> 125X

______________________________

THE NO. IS DECREASED BY 30%

=> NO. - 30% OF THAT NO.

=> 100X - 30X

=> 70X.

______________________________

ACCORDING TO THE CONDITION :

=> 125X - 70X = 22

=> 55X = 22

=> X = 22 / 55

=> X = 2 / 5

THE NO. :

=> 100 * X

=> 100 * 2 / 5

=> 20 * 2

=> 40
