Let 1st number=5x
2nd number = 2x
According To The Question
5x - 2x = 30
3x = 30
x = 30 ÷ 3
x = 10
Hence,
1st number = 5×10=50
2nd number= 2×10=20

Hey There!

Solution:
Let the two numbers be in the ratio 2x : 5x
According to the question it has been said that 2 positive integers give the difference of 30.
So as the difference is a positive integer this means that:
1st integer > 2nd Integer
So, that means 5x is greater than 2x and 2x is subtracted from 5x
Therefore,
5x - 2x = 30
3x = 30
x = 30/3
x = 10
So, greater number is 5x that is 5(10) = 50
Smaller number is 2x that is 2(10) = 20
