The difference between two positive integers is 36. The quotient when one integer is
divided by other is 4. Find the integers.
(Hint: If one number is ‘x’, then the other number is ‘x - 36')​

Answer:

x ÷ x - 36 = 4

x = 4x - 144

3x = 144

x = 144 ÷ 3

x = 48

therefore, the second number = x-36

= 48 - 36 = 12
