Let one positive integer be = x

And, the second be = y

So,

Acc. to the question,

x - y = 36 .... (i)

Also,

x/y = 4 .... (ii)

From (ii), we get

=> x = 4y .... (1)

Putting this value (1) in equation (i), we get

=> 4y - y = 36

=> 3y = 36

=> y = 36/3

=> y = 12

Putting this value in (1), we get

=> x = 4(12)

=> x = 48

Hence, the integers are 12 and 48.
