The difference of squares of two subsequent even numbers is 84 what the sum of these numbers will be

the numbers are 20,24 and sum of them is 42

Let the number be x and x+2
A/Q,
(x+2)^2-x^2=84
x^2 +2*x*2+2^2-x^2=84
x^2+4x+4-x^2=84
4x+4=84
4x=80
x=80/4
x=20
so,the numbers are 20 and 22and their sum is
20+22=42
