substituting value of X

(5+y)²+(y)²=97

25+10y+y²+y²=97

2y²+10y-72

divide by 2

y²+5y -36=0

y(y+9)-4(y+9)=0

y=4 or y=-9

since its natural no.

therefore we discard -9

therefore 4+5=9

therefore the nos are 9 and 4
