Step-by-step explanation:

The difference between two numbers is 14 and the difference between the square is 448. What are the two numbers by elimination method?

Given:Let two numbers be x and y

By the problem,x -y=14 …..(1)

and x^2-y^2=448

(x+y)(x-y)=448

14*(x+y)=448

(x+y)=448/14=32

(x+y)=32….(2)

By elimination method,adding eqn(1)and(2),we get:

2x=46

x=46/2=23

Using the value of x=23 in eqn (2),we get:

x+y=32

23+y=32

y=32–23=9

Now,x=23 and y=9

The required numbers23and9

i hope it will helps you☺
