Let the numbers be x,y
Given, x - y = 3
x = y + 3 --------------------- (1)
Given, x^2−y^2 = 69
= (y+3)^2 - y^2 = 69
= y^2+6y+9−y^2 = 69
6y+9 = 69
6y = 60
y = 10
Substitute y in(1)
x = 13

let the numbers be x and y then
x-y=3
.. (1)and x^2 +y^2=69... (2)
x=3+y put this in (2)
(y+3)^2 -y^2 =69
y^2 + 9 + 6y -y^2=69
9+6y=69
6y=60
y=10 put this in (1)
x-10=3
x =13
x=13,y=10 answer.
