Given

two angles are complementary , so their sums add up-to 90 degree,........
difference = 12

Answer :

let one of the angles be 'x'

another angle be 'y' .

x-y = 12

x = 12+y ...........1

so

x + y = 90

from 1

x = 12+y

12+y + y = 90

12 + 2y = 90

2y = 90 -12

2y = 78

y = 78/2 = 39 ..........2

from 1 and 2

x = 12 + y

x = 12 + 39 = 51

so the angles are 51 and 39

verification x - y = 12 ......LHS

51 - 39 = 12 ........RHS

as LHS = RHS the answer is correct

hope this helps!
