Ans.

Let, the digits are x and y.
Then the number is (10x + y).
When the digits are reversed, the number becomes
(10y + x).

Then,
x = 3y .....(i)

(10x + y) + (10y + x) = 88
or, 11x + 11y = 88
or x + y = 8 .....(ii)

We put x = 3y in (ii). Then
3y + y = 8
i.e., 4y = 8
i.e., y = 2

From (i), we get
x = 6

Therefore, the number is 62.
