The dimension of a metal block are 4.5 x 1.5 x 27 meter. It is melted and recast into cubes each of edge 45 cm. How many cubes can be formed.

In a cuboidal block ;
l = 4.5 m
b = 1.5 m
h = 27 m
Volume of cube = l×b×h
= 4.5×1.5×27
= 182.25 cubic m
Side of cube = 45 cm = 0.45 m
Volume of cube = (side)^3
= 0.45×0.45×0.45
= 0.091125 cubic m
No. of cubes formed will be
= 182.25/0.091125
= 18250000/91125
= 200

Hence 200 cubes will be formed.
