let dimension of a rectangulqr box be 2x 3x and 4x then
TSA = 2 ( 2x * 3x + 3x * 4x + 4x * 2x )

= 52 x^2

C1 = cost of coveribg at rs.8/unit = 52x^2 * 8
C2 = cost of covering at rs.9.50 = 52x^2 * 9.50

given
C2 - C1 = 1248

52x^2 * 9.50 - 52x^2 * 8 = 1248

taking 52x^2 common

52x^2 ( 9.50 - 8) = 1248

52x^2 * 3/2 = 1248

78x^2 = 1248

x^2 = 1284 / 78

x^2 = 16

x = 4

then.

dimensions are = 8m , 12m , 16 m

hope it helps..
