The dimensions of a cuboid are in the ratio 1 : 2 : 3 and its volume is 384 cu. m . Find its dimensions.

Answer:

let the measurement of dimensions of cuboid be x m

then

l= x m

b = 2x m

c = 3x m

volume of cuboid = l× b × h m^2.

384=x× 2x× 3x

384= 6x^3

x^3 = 384/6

x^3 =64 m

x = +- 4m

then

l= 4m.

b= 2×4 = 8m

h = 3× 4=12 m

TO VERIFY :

VOLUME = LBH =4×8×12=384 m^3
