The dimensions of a cuboidal room are 8.6 metre into 5.4 metre into 4 metre. The room has two doors each measuring 2 metre by 1 metre and 4 windows each measuring 1 by 1 metre.What will be the cost of plastering the four walls and ceiling at rupees 65 per metre square?​

breadth of the room = 5.4 m

dimension of door = 2×1

area of 2 doors = 2 × (l×b) = 2× (2) = 4 m ²

area of 4 windows =  4 × (l×b) = 4(1) = 4 m ²

area of 4 walls of the room = 2 (l+b) h

= 2(8.6+ 5.4 ) 4

= 8 (14 )

= 112 m ²

area of celing = l×b = 8.6 ×5.4 = 46.44

area to be plaster = area of 4 walls + area of ceiling-(area of 2 doors + area of 4 windows )

 area to be plaster = 112 + 46.44 - (4+4)

= 158.44 - (8)

= 150.44 m ²

cost of plastering 1 m ² = Rs. 65

cost of plastering 150.44 m ² = 150.44 × 65 = Rs. 97778.6

hence , cost of plastering is Rs. 97778.6

now, the length of two doors. = 2m

So, area of 2 doors are = 2 × l × b.
