the weight of the box will be 5610gm or 5.61 kg
first of all we find the volume of big cuboidal shape
then slall cuboidal shape
after this subtract small from big
and multiply by 0.5 .
hope you easily understand in this image.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

weight of box = (volume of outer cuboid- volume of inner cuboid) x .5 gm

dimensions of outer cuboid= 50, 40,23

dimensions of inner cuboid= (50-6), (40-6), (23-3)   {deduction of 3 cm from both sides in outer length and outer breadth , as it is open box so in height the deduction of 3 cm only}

Weight of box= {(50 x40 x23 )- [(50-6) x(40-6)x (23-30)]} x 0.5 gm

                         = { 46000 - 29920} x 0.5 gm......

                         = {16080} x 0.5 gm

                         = 8040 gm

                         = 8.04 kg
