Given;:-

  • Quadratic equation 2x²-5x+6=0

To find:-

  • The discriminant

Solution

In the given equation 2x²-5x+6=0

a = 2,b = -5 and c = 6

Discriminant = b²- 4ac

(-5)²- 4×2×6

= 25 - 48

= -23

Therefore, discriminant of 2x²-5x+6=0 is -23
