We know from formula that:-

Q = CV

Change in Q will result in current within capacitor plates:-

I = dQ/dt = C dV/dt

and if dV/dt i.e. voltage is constant then current will also be equal to 0 i.e. I = 0

In AC voltage which is not constant there current is not equal to zero and there displacement current is identical with conduction current and it can be calculated by Maxwell's equation where voltage vary with time.

But in DC voltage is constant and current is zero so displacement and conduction current vary.
