• Let Breadth of rectangular field = (M) m

And

• Length of rectangular field = (M + 26) m

• Perimeter = 400 m

We know that..

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

Put the known values in above formula

=> 2(M + 26 + M) = 400

=> 2M + 52 + 2M = 400

=> 4M + 52 = 400

=> 4M = 400 - 52

=> 4M = 348

=> M = 348/4

=> M = 87

Now;

• We have Breadth = M = 87 m

And

• Length = (M + 26)

=> (87 + 26)

=> 113 m

Length of rectangular field = 113 m

and

Breadth of rectangular field = 87 m

✡ VERIFICATION :

From above calculations we have M = 87

Put them in this : 2(M + 26 + M) = 400

=> 2(2M + 26) = 400

=> 2[2(87) + 26] = 400

=> 2(174 + 26) = 400

=> 2(200) = 400

=> 400 = 400
