Let breadth of rectangular field be 'x'.
Then length of rectangular field=x+26
Given that,
distance around rectangular field is 400 metres.
Therefore ,
perimeter of rectangular field=400m
2(l+b)=400
2(x+26+x)=400
2x+26=200
2x=174
x=87 metres.
Hence, breadth of rectangular field=87m
and length of rectangular field=87+26=113m.
