Answer:

Length=113m and breadth=87m

Given:

Perimeter of Reactangular field=400

Length of the field is 26m more than the breadth

To find:

The length and breadth of the field

Solution:-

Let the breadth be x

Then length=x+26

We know that

perimeter of Rectangle=2(l+b)

400=2(x+26+x)

400=2(2x+26)

400=4x+52

400-52=4x

348=4x

x=87

--------

Breadth=87 m

Length=x+26

=87+26

=113 m

Answer:

The distance around a rectangular field = 400 metre

The length of the field = 26 metre more than the breadth .

Solution

Suppose the Breadth of the field = x

And the Length of the field = x + 26

Formula of Perimeter of Rectangle :

2(Length + Breadth )

400 = 2( x + 26 + x )

400 = 2( 2x + 26 )

400 = 4x + 52

400 - 52 = 4x

348 = 4x

4x = 348

x = 348 = 87

4

x = 87

Breadth of the field = 87 metre .

Length of the field = x + 26

= 87 + 26

= 113 metre .

The breadth of field = 87 metre .

The length of field = 113 metre .
