Distance=250km

Time=5hrs

Kilometre per hour to metre per second=×1000/60×60

=×5/18

Speed= distance/time

Therefore,

250/5×5/18

=125/9

=13.8m/s

Given :

Distance (D) = 250 Km

Time (T) = 5 hours

To Find :

Speed in SI unit.

Solution :

Speed is defined as the rate of change of position of an object in any direction. The formula for speed is -

    Speed (S) = \frac{Distance}{Time}

Distance travelled by the bus = 250 Km

                                                 = 250×10³ m

Time taken by the bus to travel from Delhi to Chandigarh = 5 Hour

                                                                                                = 5×60×60

                                                                                                = 18000 sec

Speed of the bus    = \frac{250 * 10^3}{18000}

                                = \frac{250 * 1000}{18000}

                                = 13.89 m/sec

Therefore, the speed of the bus is found to be 13.89 m/sec.
