simply subract distance to the sun from distance to the moon
ie. 1.496 x 10^11-1492.16 x 10^8
10^10 x (14.96-14.9216)
0.0384 x 10^10 ~ 3.84 x 10^8
ie. 1.496 x 10^11-1492.16 x 10^8
10^10 x (14.96-14.9216)
0.0384 x 10^10 ~ 3.84 x 10^8

Distance between Sun and moon at solar eclipse.
= 1.496×10^11-1492.16×10^8
= 1496×10^8-1492.16×10^8
= 10^8(1496-1492.16)
= 10^8(3.84)
≈ 3.84×10^8 metres.
