Answer:

2  × 10^20 N

Explanation:

F = GmM/D²

According to NASA  information and astronomical data ,

the mass of the Earth = 5.97 x 10^24 kg

the mass of the Moon = 7.3 x 10^22 kg

and the mean distance between the Earth and the Moon is 3.84 x 10^8 m.

G = 6.67×10^-11

then the force of gravitational attraction between the Earth and the Moon

is

F  = 6.67×10^-11(  7.3 x 10^22  )( 5.97 x 10^24   ) ÷  (3.84 x 10^8)²

F = 1.97134 × 10^20 ≈ 2  × 10^20 N
