Here is your answer,

Let us consider (1,2) as point A and (2,-3) as point B.

Here, we need to use distance formula 

          √(x₂-x₁)² + (y₂-y₁)²

         = √(2-1)² + (-3-2)²

         = √(1)² + (-5)²

         = √1 + 25
 
         = √26
