Given:

• Points are :

A ( 5 , -8 ) and B ( -7 , -3 ).

To find :

•Distance between the points A and B .

Solution :

• As we know that :

 \star \boxed{ \blue{\bold{ d = \: \sqrt{ {(x_2 - x_1)}^{2} + (y_2 - y_1)^{2} } }}} \\

Here ,

• x1= 5 and y1= -8

• x2= -7 and y3= -3 .

 \implies \: d = \sqrt{ {( - 7 - 5)}^{2} + {( - 3 - ( - 8))}^{2} } \\ \\ \implies \: d = \sqrt{ {( - 12)}^{2} + {(5)}^{2} } \\ \\ \implies \: d = \sqrt{144 + 25} \\ \\ \implies \: d = \sqrt{169} \\ \\ \implies \: d = 13

Hence , the distance is 13 .
