When the cars are in same direction
X-y=1 m/s
When in opposite direction
x+y= 10 m/s
Solving this we get
X =5.5 m/s
Y=4.5 m/s
X-y=1 m/s
When in opposite direction
x+y= 10 m/s
Solving this we get
X =5.5 m/s
