the first train speed. =x
the second train speed = 4km/hr
the distance between two trains after 3 hrs =20km
first train multiplied by 3 =3x
second train multiplied by 3 =4(3)=12
difference between the two trains after 3 km =20km
3x-12=20
3x=20-12
3x=8
x=8/3
x=2.666...
therefore the speed of the first train =2.666...km/hr
