When both train will meet distance from station a will be 183.86 km

Explanation:

We have given distance between a and b is 450 km

It is given speed of train which is traveling from station a to b is 20 km/hr

It is that a trains with speed 30 km/hr leaves from station b towards a

As 1 hour = 60 minutes

So 20 minutes =\frac{20}{60}=0.333hour

Distance travel in 0.333 hour by train which leaves station a =0.333\times 20=6.66km

Now distance between a and b is 450-6.66=443.34km

As both the trains are moving towards each other

So relative speed = 20+30 = 50 km/hr

So time after which both train will meet =\frac{443.34}{50}=8.86hour

Distance traveled by train which leaves station a in 8.86 hour =8.86\times 20=177.2km

So distance from a when they will meet = 177.2+6.66 = 183.86 km
