Given :-

  • speed of object = 60 km/hr
  • time taken = 15 minutes

To Find :-

  • Distance covered by the object ?

Solution :-

firstly change the unit of time

  • 1 hour = 60 minutes

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \bold{15 \: min =    \cancel\frac{15}{60}hr } \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \implies \bold{time \: taken = \frac{1}{4} \: hr  }

and now, we know that,

 \boxed{  \orange{\bold{distance =  speed \times time }}}

 \bold{: \implies  \cancel{60} \times  \frac{1}{ \cancel4}    } \\  \\  \bold{: \implies 15 \: km  }

so, the distance covered by the object is 15 km
