See on x axis y coordinate is zero

also since it perpendicular distance hence x coordinate will remain same that is 5

So the point on the x axis is ( 5 , 0 )

Using distance formula :-

d =  \sqrt{( - 3 - 0)  {}^{2}  + (5 - 5) {}^{2}  }  \\ d =  \sqrt{9 + 0}  \\ d =  \sqrt{9}  \\ d = 3 \: units
