THE DISTANCE - TIME GRAPH OF THE MOTION OF AN OBJECT IS GIVEN . FIND THE AVERAGE SPEED AND MAXIMUM SPEED OF THE OBJECT DURING THE MOTION.

First given speed = 16 m / 4 s

                              =  4 m/s  

next given speed = 16 m / 8 s

                              = 2 m/s

next speed = 28 m / 14 s

                    = 2m/s

Maximum speed = 4m/s

Average speed = Total distance / Total time taken

                          = 16 + 16 + 28 m / 4 + 8 + 14 s

                          = 60 m / 26 s

                          = 2.3 m/s ( approximately )
