The driver of a train A is running at 25 m/s sights a train B moving in the same direction on the same track with 15m/s. The driver of train A applies brakes to produce a deceleration of 1m/s². What should be the minimum distance between the trains to avoid the accident.​

Apply the Formula to calculate minimum distance........

=>v²-u²=2as

s=v²-u²/2a

Here

v=25m/s

u=15m/s

a=1m/s²

Then

s=(25)²-(15)²/2*1=200m
