The e.m.f. of a Daniel cell is 1.09 V and its internal resistance is 20 ohm. If the terminals of the cell are joined by a wire of resistance 18 ohm, find P.D. recorded by a high resistance voltmeter connected to the terminals of the cell.​

C = 1.09/(20 + 18) = 1.09/38
