This is the story of Johnson and his lovely son.Johnson was a simple farmer. he had taken some land from Sanders on annual rent.He was hard working but believed too much in fate.he had only one son named Benjy.He was dull and unintelligent. The doctor advised to keep Benjy engaged in a work.

So Benjy’s father brought some hens for Benjy in order to keep him busy.Gradually Benjy learnt all tricks of business. He started to earn money by selling eggs. And he deposited much money in the bank. He bought that land from Sanders and get married a girl named Florence. Florence's behavior about Benjy’s parents was not good. She poisoned his ears against his parents.

Benjy therefore drove them into the town by small ford van. Now they had nothing to live.

Thus, the writer has shown how a simple minded son drives his parents into the town and becomes cunning.
