Hundreds of students of Nellore Ravindra Bharathi School organised a rally to enlighten the public to celebrate ‘Eco-Friendly Diwali’ here on Tuesday.

The students and staff carrying placards, raised slogans against air, water, sound and environment pollution. The slogans – ‘Don’t create sound pollution’, ‘Create green environment’, ‘Keep water clean in canals and rivers’, ‘Air, Water and Environment pollution may cause hazards’ – impressed the public.

A student Deepthi said burning crackers would create pollution and was not safe for children. “We request the children not to waste money and damage our eco-system”, the class IX student said.
