The edge of the cube 12 cm find the volume of the largest sphere that can be curved out from it.

paulchoi0205: I can help a little, you can use the distence from one corner of the cube to the other for the diamerter. you can find this with pythagorean therom

Since the edge of the cube is 12cm, the max. diameter of the sphere that can be carved out would be 12cm.

∴radius of sphere = 6cm

Volume of the sphere = 4/3*\pi *r*r*r

                                     =4/3*22/7*6*6*6

                                     =905.142 cm²

pythagoreon therom:

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

12^2 = 144

144 +144 = 288

squareroot 288 = 16.9705627 / 2 = 8.48528135

volume of sphere:

v=(4/3) pi r^3

about 2559.1

corect me if im wrong
