Dear Sir,

This letter is to bring to your kind notice that recently I along with my family went to Darjeeling and was shocked to discover the lack of facilities over there.

The mall road was littered with scarp papers and garbage wastes, shortage of water in the hotels, electricity problem, in short the entire trip was a depressing one.

Darjeeling is the pride of West Bengal but if it goes on like this, people will stop visiting this picturesque hill station.

This is my earnest appeal that you, through your newspaper take some necessary step so that proper maintenance of the place takes place.

Yours truly,

Madhulima Banerjee
