Ratio of the edges = 1 : 2 : 3

Define x:

Let x be the constant ratio:

Ratio of the edges = 1x : 2x : 3x

Find the surface area in term of x:

Total surface area = 2(1x)(2x) + 2(2x)(3x) + 2(3x)(1x)

Total surface area = 4x²  + 12x² + 6x² = 22x²

Find the value of x:

22x² = 88

x² = 88 ÷ 22 = 4

x = √4

x = 2 cm

Find the length of the edges:

x = 2 cm

2x = 2(2) = 4 cm

3x = 3(2) = 6 cm

Find the volume:

Volume = Length x Breadth x Height

Volume = 2 x 4 x 6 = 48 cm²

Answer: The volume is 48 cm²
