Answer:

the answer is 6

Explanation:

effective atomic number(EAN) is the sum of all the electrons surrounding the central metal atom in a metal complex.

here the charge on the Cobalt is +3 because amine(NH3) is zero thus, the Cobalt loses it's 3 electrons and now it has (27-3) i.e. 24 electrons

also in the NH3 group each of the constituting atom i.e. N and H provides an electron pair i.e. both provides 2 elcetrons and as the complex has 6 NH3 groups so no. of electrons provided by 6 NH3 is (2×6)=12

thus (24+12) i.e. 36 electrons surrounds the Cobalt ion thus, the value of 'k' is 36

therefore value of k/6=6
