The electronic configuration of an element X is 2,8,2. Find out
(a) Number of protons and electrons in X
(b) Valency of X
(c) Write the chemical formula of the compound formed when X reacts with

a) E.C.= 2,8,2

 ∴At.no.= no. of protons= no. of electrons= 12

b) Element X has 2 valence electrons. So to gain stable EC like its nearest noble gas Neon(2,8) it has to donate the 2 electrons. So it's valency is 2.
