Element x here is sulphur with electronic configuration 2,8,6
It belongs to group 16 as it contains 6 electrons in its Valence shell so group =10+6 which is 16
It's period is 3 as because it contains 3 shells K,L,M with configuration 2,8,6
It's valency is -2 as it contains 6 electrons in its Valence shell so it needs more two electron to complete it's octet and attain a completely filled Valence shell.
Hope it helps u mate!!!!!!

Answer:

1 . Since ‘X’ has three energy shells and period number of an element is equal to the number  of energy shells, X belongs to 3rd period.

2 . X has 6 valence electrons it belongs to group 16.

3.  Valency will be 2. To acquire noble gas configuration it will gain 2 electrons.
