The elements Li,B,C,Be and N have the electronegativities 1.0,2.0 1.5 and 3.0 respectively on the Pauling scale. Explain it.

As we move in the periodic table from left to right, the electronegativity increases.

As we move in the periodic table from top to bottom, the electronegativity increases.

From left to right, the order is Li, Be, B, C, N and their electronegativities respectively are 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 which is in the increasing order.
