The embryo sac of the angiosperm are made up of b) 7 cells and 8 nuclei.

The embryo sac of the angiosperms contains “2 synergids”, “3 antipodals”, one eggs ‘cell’ and ‘polar nuclei’. The process of double fertilization and triple fusion occurs during fertilization of a microspore with the embryo sac leading to the formation of a zygote and an endosperm.

The zygote develops to a “new plant” whereas the endosperm provides nourishment to it.
