GIven the end points of the diameter of a circle are (2,4) and( -3 ,-1 ).

If (x_1,y_1) and (x_2,y_2) are the ends of the diameter.

then, diameter = \sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1})^2+(y_2-y_1)^2 } (by distance formula)

= \sqrt{(-3-2)^2+(-1-4)^2 }

= \sqrt{(-5)^2+(-5)^2 }

= \sqrt{25+25 }

= \sqrt{50}

= 5\sqrt{2}

Therefore, the diameter of the circle is 5\sqrt{2}.
