Here is your answer

Endoplasmic Reticulum is an organelle present in a cell. There are two types of ER.

SER - Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum

And RER - Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum.

It's known as Rough as it has ribosomes attached to it.

Hope it helps

 \underline \mathbb{ER}

TWO TYPES OF ENDOPLASMUC RETICULUM ARE:

1• There are rough Endoplasmic Reticulum and smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum.They both have the same type of membranes but they have different shapes and rough Endoplasmic Reticulum has ribosomes attached.

2• Sacs of the Endoplasmic Reticulum called cisternae that store the complex molecules.

3• Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum acts as a storage organelle.It is important in the synthesis and storage of steroids.

4• Some of the proteins and lipids synthesized by Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum and smooth endoplasmic reticulum respectively help in building the cell membrane which is known as membrane biogenesis.
