The energy requirement per day for a teacher may be different in case of males and females. The average allowance for men ( reference size of 77 kg) is 2,300 kcal/day whereas that of  women is 1,900 kcal/day.
It is deduced by the Basal Metabolic rate which is calculated as follows---
Adult male: 66 + (6.3 x body weight in lbs.) + (12.9 x height in inches) - (6.8 x age in years)

Adult female: 655 + (4.3 x weight in lbs.) + (4.7 x height in inches) - (4.7 x age in years)
