When length of shadow(Base) = Vertical height (Perpendicular) of pole

so Tan X = height/Shadow
Tanx = 1
X= 45°

angle of elevation is 45°

it is 45 degree because shadow of pole and its height are in such a way that height of pole acts as a perpendicular and its shadow acts as the base of a triangle which support value of tantheeta and in tan theeta only value of 45degree equates height and base of a triangle.
