Maximum a week or little extends more than 1 week but never takes 2 weeks

It all depends on the water they are breeding in .

An egg hatches in 3 days when it is in water. If the egg is left on moist soil it will lie there for 1 year before getting enough water to breed again.

So it can be said it  takes 7-14 days for whole life cycle to occur.
