GIVEN that

Eq 2x²+kx+3=0 has equal roots

We know the condition for equal roots

D=0

D = b {}^{2}  - 4ac

then

b { }^{2} - 4ac = 0

Here :

a=2,b=k,C=3

Put the values we get

(k) {}^{2}  - 4 \times 2 \times 3 = 0 \\ (k) {}^{2}  - 24 = 0 \\ (k) {}^{2}  = 24 \\ k =  \sqrt{24}  \\ k = 2 \sqrt{6}

꧁Hence the value of K=2√6꧂
